Lisa LarssonThe Benelux String Quartet Vadim Tsibulevsky - violin Benjamin Braude - violin Avi Malkin - viola Ilia Laporev - cello The newly created Benelux String Quartet's members know each other for many years, having frequently performed together in numerous projects and formations, varying from trio to octet. It was Vadim Tsibulevksy, concertmaster of The Nederlands Philharmonic Orchestra and well-known soloist and chamber-musician, who took the recent initiative of forming a permanent ensemble, to concentrate on the extensive quartet-repertoire. The other muscians embraced his proposal... and the quartet, with members all living in the Benelux countries, was born! At present the quartet is preparing for a rich 2011/2012 season, which will include performances in Belgium, The Nederlands, Luxemburg, France, Israel and Russia. Many of these concerts will feature well-known Swedish soprano Lisa Larsson. Vadim Tsibulevsky and Lisa Larsson have collaborated, as concertmaster and soloist, in orchestral concerts on various occaisions before. Every time it has been obvious to both artists that making music together in a chamber formation would be a most interesting and profound creative fusion of their common musical ideas and expressions. |
